Since the advent of the World Wide Web, I’ve been excited to produce content for the O’Grady Plumbing website. It’s nice when the time and effort online culminates into a professional job of communication with my clients and visitors offline.
I’m a lifelong tinkerer, and when I looked at the 2013-2016 version of our website (version 1.0), I saw the need for better content and improved navigation. With 50 percent of our visitors using a mobile device, we also wanted to implement a design that works on all screen sizes, so we set about to accomplish that, as well.
These and other thoughts lead to the development of OgradyPlumbing.com version 2.0, which just launched a few weeks ago. For this new version, we’ve worked a lot on the content in order to provide high-quality and helpful information to our visitors. The idea is to guide you through the flood of information relating to plumbing maintenance, repairs and project-related issues.
This new website makes all that content more accessible and available at your fingertips or on your mobile phone, when you need it. And hopefully, it will help you make a decision when you require the services of a professional plumbing company in San Francisco.
The website facelift resulted in many helpful sections, including:
- Plumbing 101 – DIY: In many cases issues are easily resolved, and for those clients who are handy, you can resolve the issue yourself with these online plumbing tips.
- Video: See who we are. We are an honest and hardworking group of professionals, proud to be serving the San Francisco and San Mateo area. If you want to put a face to our crew — and who is standing at your doorstep — watch our videos.
- Reviews: Nothing gives you a better assessment of a company or service than its reviews from customers just like yourself. (Makes me blush just to read these kind comments.)
- Contact: If you like our reviews, complete the form listed on the Contact page so we can serve you faster — and better. And if you’re on the run, just give us a call: (number). We have a 24/7 emergency service, and will pick up the phone when there is a need.
Am I finished? Hardly.
So what’s in store for O’Grady Plumbing’s version 3.0 website? First off, I’d really like it if you would check out version 2.0 here at www.ogradyplumbing.com. Then I’d like you to email me at paul@ogradyplumbing.com and tell me what you think — maybe what you’d like to see on the site (in addition to what’s already there).
Meanwhile, I’d like to add pages that cover water quality and underground drainage systems. Maybe toss in some more plumbing tips, video calls at a click, opportunities to donate to a charity of your choice when hiring us for a job (and in turn, receive price discounts from O’Grady Plumbing for your online contribution).
I’m also thinking online menu pricing and discounts are a good idea, and of course, enticing you to follow our daily activities and adventures on the blog — just because we’re great at what we do and how we’re going about documenting it through our blog.
